These last two weeks have been a mish-mash of craziness. We finally were able to get Brent's family's boat in working order, so to to the lake we went.
This was Hayley and Emmy's first time on a boat and they had so much fun. Emmy is still unsure that she wants anything to do with water when the quantity is above what we can get into our bathtub.
Emmy is with one of her favorite people in the world , "Greempa", and she still doesn't think she wants to be in the water. I love how it looks as if she is trying to talk him out of swimming.

Have you ever seen such a beautiful boater? She's smiles and giggles the whole time. Little fish!

Doesn't swimming just tucker you out? I remember feeling the way Hunter looks in this shot.

Emmy and Gaona taking time out to spray everyone with the water cannon. Good times!

Since the run to Quail Creek was successful, we then went to Lake Powell for a few days with my Aunt's family. They own a beautiful houseboat, and we were lucky enough to be invited this year. There were about 30 of us, and it was completely nutty. My mom and sister's family went too.
Being the daredevils they are, the bigger kids loved jumping off of the back of the houseboat. I was able to get some super fun 'action' shots.

Okay, okay...my jump wasn't off of the houseboat, just the ski boat. But dang, it looks pretty good huh?

I love this shot. I'm looking down off the top of the houseboat, to my silly son, he is such a fun boy.

Here Hayley and cousin Sydney are enjoying the wind. Such cute buddies.

Here are the founders of Butt-Crack Island. (I apologize for the slang, but it really did look like a bottom!) The kids begged so we tried to make it out here everyday. Climbing and exploring were highly recommended by tour De kiddies.

Here the full shape of the island is revealed. Don't ya think the name fits?

Emmy the navigator showing us a good spot for a little water sport.

You may think Em looks happy here, but she is really mid-scream. No Likey! I have to give her props though, for going with me later. She was constantly yelling faster daddy. I think she has a bit of crazy in her after all.

Here they go.!. It was so fun to watch the kids enjoy what I grew up loving. Especially with cousins.

Here my cousin Jason is in the captains seat. He truly knows how to guide this monster. I adore the faces on the kids, the expectation of hitting that wave is almost too much. Poor Hunter, the caboose looks a bit worried.

And the furious 5 have been toppled. Bummer! But what a pose.

Pure arrogance. I love it. Keep it up guys!

Here my cute mom is hiding from the sun with Em. They are shoehorned between the boat seats. Didn't look comfy to me, but Em looks relaxed. She could be with her grandma non-stop.

This is my idea of water sports, trying to keep my book dry. Happy me. Peace and quiet, sun, and a good book. This is applicable anywhere I go though.

Being so close to Glen Canyon Dam, we had to take the kids to see it. It is amazing if you've never been there. Take some time to sneak down sometime.
This picture was taken out the window of the visitor center. Gorgeous!! The scale of it is incredible.

Here the Fam in front of it. It is such a cool place. We really are just one very tiny bit of this beautiful earth.

We had such a fun 4th of July. Hope you did too! Thanks to Edna and Marcel for their gracious hosting. Love and kisses.
