After checking out Vancouver for a few days, we headed to Victoria. Deciding to take a Seaplane for our transportation. We were on a 18 passenger plane with 2 pilots, and the cockpit was open, so it was very enlightening to see take-off from another perspective.We were so lucky to experience the amazing views of the area, and make awesome time while we were at it. It only took a 1/2 hour instead of 3, by ferry, to get to our hotel.
Take off and landing was the softest, easiest I have ever seen. It was truly my favorite adventure of the trip!As if the plane ride wasn't enough, as soon as we dropped our luggage off, we were on our way for some exciting Whale Watching. Brent had his mind set on a small 12 man Zodiac, and so we suited up and climbed aboard. We were fortunate to sight a Mother and her 2 sons, playing in Inner Harbor, so close that I could still see our Hotel. It was amazing, and we enjoyed it so very much.
Our Hotel -THE EMPRESS- is smack in the middle of everything in downtown Victoria. We were able to walk everywhere, and the buildings are very beautiful, and the scenery even better. This is the first view of the Hotel, as we came into the Harbor. WOW!One of my favorite pictures. The view of the harbor from our room. We were so happy to have such a wonderful view. After we got to our room, I laid on the window bench, and soaked up the view.I adore this picture. The man who took it for us asked us if we liked each other, and we both laughed and said YES!
